Showroom is online

Showroom is the first Austrian digital art and science platform designed and developed by an art university for art universities. Showroom is a place of discovery, serendipity, and thematic in-depth study. Artists, scientists, students and alumni show their work, exhibitions, designs, performances, publications etc. for an interested audience. Comprehensive search functions are available, events are highlighted on a daily basis, articles are curated and edited.

New Introductory Videos Released

Check out our YouTube channel for new how-to videos that walk you through the basics of Portfolio and (coming soon) Showroom. You will learn how to store different media files (audio, image, PDF, video, etc.) in Portfolio, archive certain files (i.e. select them for export to your university’s repository), and how the role-based entry of your activities works.
You will find the videos also in Showroom.

Conference “From Open Science to Citizen Science: Openness and Art and Museum Libraries”

Florian Bettel will speak on December 9, 2021, about the current research information system “Portfolio & Showroom” developed by Angewandte – an alternative and open source software by and for art universities. With the development of the software, the current research project is also examining aspects of digitisation and quantification of art and science, in particular the measurement of research results on the basis of metrics (including impact factor).
