Overview
University libraries play a major role in the digitisation of knowledge at universities.
Librarians were also involved in the development of Portfolio & Showroom from the start. Knowledge of existing thesauri, different digitisation projects and the challenges, when it comes to standardising metadata, is part of the implementation of this new current research information system.
Portfolio & Showroom is compatible with repositories.
Users can decide, which assets they want to archive in the local repository.
Portfolio uses thesaurus, the vocabulary is mapped to GND and Getty’s AAT.
